Building contractors have started preparations to build the new extension to the Carnegie building which will be above the Beecham Hall. Up to five new offices will be available to rent to small businesses and enterprising charities.
The additional rental income will mean the building can generate income and continue being a hub for the community, available for residents to take part in activities and training and provide space for birthday parties and other private functions.
There will be some disruption while the building works are carried out and Riverside will continue to deliver many of its services remotely as we have done during the Covid-19 pandemic such as Zoom calls, phone and doorstep visits.
Appointments
People with appointments will still be able to access the building. For those who are Residents of the European Union wanting help to apply for settled status so they can remain after Brexit will need to make an appointment.
