Here at Riverside we’ve been busy helping families have fun over Easter with a range of activities we could send out to their homes during lockdown restrictions.
We put together 140 Easter activity packs to encourage families to play and spend time together in and outside the home. The packs contained egg decorating, mask-making and Easter animals to colour and use to create an Easter scavenger hunt using the decorations they made, as well as lots of other scrap materials for them to get creative. They also received a chocolate egg and a reading book.
We also received puppet packs from moving parts puppets school for 20 families to take part in over the Easter holidays. The families received an envelope filled with everything they needed to make their own troupe of performing puppets and instructions. Over the holidays they received instructions to four different instructional videos which taught them step by step how to turn their bag of materials into puppet characters. They could then perform and play with their puppets at home and have fun, becoming a fully-fledged puppetologist!
