Built in the West End – new heritage group

Built in the West End

Do you remember how the West End used to be?
Would you like to share your stories and hear other people’s?

Built in the West End is a new, relaxed group for men age 50+, exploring the history, skills and stories of our neighbourhood. It’s a chance to look back at Newcastle’s industrial past, talk about how our streets and communities have changed, and create something together that celebrates local history.

What to expect
  • Friendly, welcoming sessions
  • Time to share your own memories and experiences
  • Explore Newcastle’s industrial heritage
  • Discover stories from the West End
  • Help create a local history display

You don’t need to know anything about history – just bring yourself and your stories.

When and where
