At Riverside on Friday we celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting a women only event with a range of activities around this years theme of “for ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.
Women enjoyed a fun-filled day packed with different activities from baking and decorating cakes and biscuits with the lovely Nadia and Emma

, a choice of neck/shoulder or face/head massage provided by Eppie

, busting out dance moves on the dance mat with Christine
or getting creative with Linda creating a Mood board which is displayed in the centre
In discussion on the IWD theme women reflected about the ongoing need for anti-war solidarity, safety ,access to health care, focusing on girls and young women and having women only groups! 
We then enjoyed a shared lunch together of curry & rice along with naan bread, onion bhajis and vegetable pakoras which was catered by the amazing Shahi.
