Families from Riverside Community Health Project recently enjoyed a fantastic day at Lightwater Valley, filled with exciting rides, character meet-and-greets, face painting and plenty of smiles and laughter.
Our community coach trips have been running since July 2022, and over the past five years we have organised 21 fantastic trips. Families have visited places such as, Flamingo Land, Blackpool Zoo, Whitehouse Farm, Lightwater Valley and a many more. We have also enjoyed four Christmas pantomimes at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and a magical Santa Train experience at Stanhope Station.
Since January, families have been booking and paying towards this year’s trips in whichever way works best for them and their household budget. This helps make the trips more affordable and accessible for local families.

Our next community coach trip to The Alnwick Garden and Lilidorei is booked for the end of August, giving families another exciting day to look forward to.
These trips provide opportunities for families to explore new places, spend quality time together and make special memories that will last long after the journey home.
